(NEW) Sieges and Stormings PBG Pack

What would you do if under siege, or if ordered to assault a fortified position?

Explore these five complete famous sieges and storming attempts across history.

Yes, instead of just ONE "post card" sized game, this set includes FIVE separate PBGs from across a wide swath of history. For while the weapons and techniques of sieges and stormings across the ages have changed, the fear and panic governing men (and women) in each action have remained largely the same

Here is what you get!

Surrender unto Caesar! - In a final decisive move, the warlord of Gaul, Vercingetorix, occupies the hilltop of Alesia and accepts a Roman siege. Before being encircled, he send out messengers summoning every Gaul in the country to his rescue. "Be not remiss," he warns them. Caesar in turn digs in twice around the town, facing both inwards and outwards, supremely prepared to fight on two fronts!

The Toast of the Town - Some 110 years after Alesia, Iceni Queen Boudicca takes ancient London by storm as her warriors descend upon the frightened inhabitants. A single Roman legion must fend off the barbarian horde and hold open the escape route over the Thames River.

Nothing So Well Lost - During the 1522 Ottoman siege of the fortress of Rhodes. Suleiman the Magnificent led an Ottoman force numbering some 200,000 against 7,500 Hospitaller Knights and soldiers from all across Europe. The initial Ottoman assaults and artillery barrages were countered by the defenders who held sections of the walls by European nationality. Eventually, the Ottomans shifted to mining operations. The troops inside started countermining against these subsurface attacks. The Ottomans finally succeeded in breaching the fortress and with that, the Hospitallers and civilians were provided generous surrender terms. A Spanish minister reported the end to Holy Roman Emperor Charles V remarking, "Sire, nothing was so well lost...".

Bloody Badajoz - The Third Siege of Badajoz (Mar-Apr 1812) was one of the bloodiest in the Napoleonic Wars. Some 4,800 Allied soldiers (under Wellington) were killed or wounded in just a few hours of intense fighting on April 6th while storming the breaches of the citadel at Badajoz. In the aftermath, the victorious and blood-crazed troops ran amok inflicting additional terrors on the survivng defenders and civilians.

Not Men But Devils - Refight the Battle of Camerone, a ten hour fight in the heat and dust near Vera Cruz on April 30th 1863 between the French Foreign Legion and the Mexican army. Regarded as a defining moment in the Foreign Legion's history, after the battle and learning just how few French troops there were, the Mexican commander exclaimed, "These Are Not Men, They Are Devils!".
