(NEW) The Eyrar - A Black Swan "Odd Quad"
An Eyrar is an old term for a flock of swans. ATO is pleased to announce a ziplock set of four of our rarest swans indeed, all neatly gathered into one package.

1814: Empire's End - This game takes in the full scope of both sides’ military possibilities inherent in the 1814 situation. Napoleon has been sent reeling from his second massive defeat in 2 years at Leipzig and must defend France from a now overwhelming coalition. Badly outnumbered, Napoleon's main chances lay in repeating his nimble maneuvers in Italy some 20 years past. The ensuing campaign was one of Napoleon's finest but he could not match the resources of the Allied Coalition.
Pieces represent the prominent Commanders on all sides, and the larger formations. Players organize and move their pieces across the point to point map to further their strategy. Quick to play, but tense throughout the game (so you'll be playing it again and again), 1814: Empire's End features just 2 pages of rules and 16 large 5/8” counters and a single 8.5” x 11” map.

Britskrieg! – The British and their allies launched Operation Brevity in mid-May 1941 to both make a spoiling attack against the Axis forces that were besieging Tobruk, and to get into better jump off positions for a future major offensive. Still smarting after Rommel’s early victories over them in the spring, the British planned an offensive that was to be majestic, ponderous and unstoppable (at least in theory) showcasing the British art of war through the practice of Britskrieg!
The offensive had good success at the beginning, but after the initial confusion of the Axis command was over, they were able to execute well-planned counter-attacks and Rommel rushed reinforcements to the front. The Axis forces were able to stop and then push back the British thrusts into their territory.
This two-player game comes with one 8½" x 11" map with charts, a set of 54 die-cut counters, and rules. Fast-playing but with close attention to detail, Britskrieg! will allow players to explore how each side can gain (and lose) mastery of the battlefield.

Peak Courage - At the very beginning of the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Syrian commandos captured the Israeli strongpoint atop Mount Hermon in a daring surprise attack. Shocked by the fall of their outpost, the Israeli High Command resolved to retake the position. Despite clear intelligence that a Syrian attack along the Golan Heights was imminent, the Israelis were caught completely by surprise by the Syrian attack at Mt. Hermon.
In a series of two bloody attacks the Israelis eventually recaptured Mount Hermon, but at a devastating cost to both sides’ forces. Perhaps you can do as well or better than your historical counterpart?
This two-player game comes with one 11" x 17" map with a set of 80 die-cut counters, and rules. Another fast-player but with extreme violence, Peak Courage models this action that was amongst the bloodiest of this very violent war.

A Cornered Wolf - Historically the Soviets became aware of the existence of Hitler’s military headquarters in Rastenburg, Prussia (nicknamed “The Wolf ’s Lair” by the German military— Wolf was Hitler’s codename) from prisoner interrogations during Operation Bagration.
In August 1944, Soviet reconnaissance planes overflew the zone, dropping leaflets with lists of German personnel working there, urging them to defect now, or be held accountable.
So, what if earlier the Soviets had dropped…something else? A Cornered Wolf is an “alt-hist” game that explores what could have happened had Stalin decided to launch an attack (Operation “Wolf Hunt”) in July or August against the Nazi dictator’s command headquarters.
This two-player game comes with one 11" x 17" map, a set of 80 die-cut counters, and rules. The map depicts the Rastenburg HQ area with its multiple security zones and defenses. How well will they stand up to an air assault? Could the war end with this thunderclap event or will it be a a case of almost?" Use A Cornered Wolf to explore this fascinating "what if."

Supplies of The Eyrar sets are limited so be sure to collect these four swans before they "fly out of sight!"
